OUR MINISTRIES
At Canon and Gaines Chapel, we are committed to growing spiritually by preaching and teaching God's Word during Worship, Sunday School, Children's Church, Bible Study, and Community Service.
Children's Church
All children are invited to participate in children's church each Sunday during the worship service at Canon UMC. Children are cared for physically, emotionally, and spiritually through Bible stories, music, crafts, and activities.
Sunday School
Sunday School meets each Sunday either before or after worship. Check the "Events" page of this website for exact times.
Bible Study
Bible Studies are usually held in the evenings on a week night. Most studies are six to eight weeks in length. Check the "Events" page of this website for dates and times of our next study.
United Methodist Women
The Canon UMW is very active in many of the ministries of the church. The group meets on the Tuesday after the first Sunday at 6 p.m. The UMW plans and oversees the free community meal and many other activities of the church.
Community Service
Community service is a priority at the Canon and Gaines Chapel churches. We serve our community with free meals, children's lunch program, and a clothes and food pantry. Check the "Events" page of this website for details.
